Guest Post: Apple, Apple, Round and Red

A favorite game from my archives:

Marie from Make and Takes is here as my guest today sharing a fun apple activity!

Here’s a fun Fall twist on the classic Nursery Rhyme Duck, Duck, Goose. We’re playing this game with apples. The words for the chant are:

Apple, apple, round and red
Fell kerplunk on ____’s head

Using an apple to tap each child’s head, play the game of Duck, Duck, Goose by saying the chant above. Go around the circle until all the children have had a chance to be “it”. For the apple, you can use a real apple or craft a yarn apple. Then once the game is over, cut up a few apples for a snack!

How fun is this!! And we will definitely making those yarn apples. They’re adorable! Thanx, Marie!
