Apples are just starting to get in season here!! I’ve seen posts all over Facebook about apples being available for picking, and I can’t wait to get my hands on some!! We’re lucky because our grandpa owns some apple trees, and we get to bask in the harvest. I love watching my kids savor a fresh apple for the first time each fall! So, I thought I’d share a couple of apple ideas: art, cooking, dramatic play, and yes, even counting.
This is a great activity for preschoolers or Kindergartners learning about one-to-one correspondence (to learn more about this concept, go to a past post here).

This one was so fun for my children years ago!
I found a coloring page of an apple tree. Because the apples were kind of hard to see, I colored the apples red. My daughter then placed an apple sticker over each apple. She LOVED this and did such a great job!
*I found the apple stickers at my local teacher store. Couldn’t find them at the grocery store or 3 different scrapbooking stores. The teacher store had FOUR different kinds!
