Valentine Peanut Butter Balls

We love this treat anytime of year, but they are so pretty for Valentine’s Day. I love how easy they are and that I always have the ingredients on-hand. And I love peanut butter and chocolate so it’s a win-win over here. Here is my recipe for Peanut Butter Balls: Valentine Style!

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 cup creamy peanut butter

5 Tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups melted chocolate (I use the melting chocolate for my chocolate fountain; it sets really well)

sprinkles (optional)

1. Beat powdered sugar, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla with mixer until smooth.

2. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Cover (with waxed paper) and chill until firm for about 1 hour (I recommend this because it makes it so much easier for dipping later).

3. Melt chocolate.

4. Use a fork to dip peanut butter balls into melted chocolate (one at a time). Allow extra chocolate to drip off.

5. Place on new waxed paper lined cookie sheet and top with sprinkles before chocolate sets (if you want–they just look so pretty).

6. Try not to eat too many!

  1. Recently did a side-byside taste test of peanut butters. It was great fun but it left me with lots of peanut butter. Need some new peanut butter ideas and this one looks easy and fun to make and to eat. Thanks for sharing.
