Volunteering in the Classroom, Part 2

I posted yesterday about some of the advantages of parent volunteers in the classroom. Today I wanted to provide some hints for volunteering. I found this article  on do’s and dont’s when volunteering, which I thought was so good! Please check it out!

The only thing I would add is to keep confidentiality. When you get the opportunity to work with the kids, you quickly learn their learning levels (and quite often, you are working with the children who are struggling with a certain concept). Don’t go blab to other parents about how children are doing. Don’t make comparisons. Don’t gossip. Just enjoy the opportunity to help a child improve their academic skills, and possibly help them learn to love learning! 🙂

Teachers, is there anything you would add to this list?
