Blast From the Past: Butterfly Masks

Our caterpillars have turned into butterflies! Some of them had a virus so they are “sick,” or came out with problems. It’s been so sad, but my children have taken it with compassion. Aren’t children amazing?! We are enjoying them all anyway. Since butterflies are on the mind, I thought I’d share some butterfly ideas from the past this week (plus, they are showing up #1 on searches for my site right now).

Since our caterpillars have now turned into butterflies, my kids are obsessed with butterflies. We made these adorable butterfly masks last week, and my kids love to flit around the house pretending to be butterflies.

To make your own: Draw or print a butterfly outline big enough for your child’s face. Cut eye holes. Let your child decorate (mine simply used crayons). Punch holes in the sides and tie with some string. Simple, but fun!
