Pinkalicious!

I haven’t done a book review in awhile and thought I’d take a moment to introduce you to some new favorites.

We love these books in our house (even my son enjoys reading them with the “girls”)! We own Pinkalicious, Purplicious (my personal favorite), and Silverlicious, although there are many others by this author. I will admit, right from the start, that Pinkalicious can be a little sassy, but I love the messages in each book.

Pinkalicious

In Pinkalicious, the little girl, Pinkalicious, eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns PINK! The doctor tells her to eat green (healthy) food in order to return to normal. She decides to sneak one more pink treat when her mom and dad aren’t looking! What happens next?! She turns a lovely shade of RED. She finally decides to eat her vegetables and turns back to normal. There’s a fun twist at the end!

Purplicious (Pinkalicious)

In Purplicious, Pinkalicious loves the color pink, even though the other girls love the color black. She stays true to herself until the girls will no longer play with her. Then she decides she doesn’t like pink anymore and gets a bad case of the blues. At the end, she meets a new friend, who shows her that pink is pretty powerful!! I love the message about being true to yourself no matter what!

Silverlicious (Pinkalicious)

In Silverlicious, Pinkalicious loses her first tooth! But it’s not just any tooth; it’s her sweet tooth!! Her Tooth Fairy is busy and sends other helpers (such as Cupid and the Easter Bunny) to leave behind suprises for Pinkalicious, but she can’t taste any of the treats. She reacts in a not so nice way. But when her Tooth Fairy finally does make it, she teaches Pinkalicious where “sweetness” really comes from.

Have you read these books? What are your thoughts on them?

  1. I love these books, and my girls do too. Hannah’s favorite is Goldalicious.

    • Laralee,

That’s the only one I haven’t read, but I’ve heard RAVE reviews about it! We’ll have to see if Grandma can get us that one for a birthday!

      Thanx for the recommendation!
