Local Fun: Highland Splash Pad

Highland has a fun splash pad, similar to the Gateway, where water shoots up. There is also a little water feature the kids can play in, as well (not pictured). So fun!

not the best picture, but it gives you an idea

Since hearing about this last year, I have been wanting to try it out. I finally loaded up the kids (and the neighbors) this weekend, and we went. It was a blast! Be sure to stop at Wendy’s for a Frosty on the way home. YUM!

Location: Behind the Kohler’s in Highland. You can turn in by the Wendy’s and drive back. You can’t miss it! I believe it opens at 10. The best part: it’s FREE!

  1. Cool! I didn’t know about this!!

    • That’s why I blogged about it. I figured many people didn’t know, and it’s a fun place to take your kids, especially in the HEAT this summer!

  2. That does look fun! There’s one with a big Noah’s ark statue at Thanksgiving Point’s Children’s Discovery Garden too. But you have to pay for that, if you don’t have a membership. Still fun though.

I bet my daughter would love this – she can’t resist running through sprinklers when she sees them.

    • Kim,

We love the one at Thanksgiving Point! Thanx for reminding us of that one.

There is also a free water structure near the deli-area, where the kids can pull levers and such. Lots of fun, but a little harder for the smaller kids.
