Stories for Snuggling: Ladybug Girl

My little girl is obsessed with ladybugs so her grandma got her this book for her birthday:

It is definitely a new favorite. She loves to run around the house in her ladybug get-up and be Ladybug Girl.

Summary:

Lulu’s brother tells her she is too little to play. Her mom and dad are busy so she makes up her own fun! She becomes Ladybug Girl, saving the ants from a huge rock and being brave in her shark-infested puddle. She proves to herself that she is not too little and fun can be had in her own backyard.

Love the imagination that is protrayed. I love that she’s a “super hero” in her own right. I think little girls need more female super heroes to be like, and Ladybug Girl is a perfect hero! 🙂
