Blast From the Past: Picnic Fun!

My kids love to have picnics in the spring. We spend a bit of time getting things all ready, stake out a spot, and go! Our favorite spot is a local park, and it’s always fun to try out one different than our norm. Here are some different ideas to maybe jazz it up a bit!

Make fun sandwiches like these:

Host your own Teddy Bear picnic:

Can’t go outside?! Have one indoors!

Make your own healthy Happy Meal (idea and picture from Super Healthy Kids):

What do you like to do for picnics?

  1. My kids like to dip fruit bits in yogurts. We also do tortilla roll-ups (string cheese rolled in a peanut butter smeared tortilla or cold-cuts rolled in a cream-cheese smeared tortilla). They have an easier time with the roll up than the sandwiches (they are 30 and 13 months old).
We discovered applesauce pouches, which works great anywhere as a snack or picnic item.

    • Yum!!! Thanx, Virginie! We will have to try those next time we go! Thanx for sharing your idea! 🙂
