Guest Post: Mess Free Crafts, day 2

Yesterday I told you about Elise, my special guest this week. She is visiting from Inspiration Surrounds, Creativity Abounds. Here are some more mess free crafts for your enjoyment!

Another favourite activity of ours is an oldie but a goodie – using felt pens to draw a picture, or simply doodle, on a paper towel and then, with either a spray bottle of water, or a damp sponge, dampen the paper towel and watch the colors merge together.

My children really enjoy watching the colors “swim” on the paper towel and we have turned our paper towel creations into several different artistic pieces.

Photo below: Using pipe cleaners I made a butterfly outline and in the bottom two butterflies we used some of our paper towel art to create the butterfly wings. We used sticky tape to secure the wings.
