Olympic Torch Craft

Our family has been watching the Olympics off-and-on this weekend (thank you, DVR!). We are having a BLAST!!! Personally, I can’t wait for the figure skating events! We have also had a lot of fun acting out our own Olympic events (idea from my oh! so creative son). So, in honor of the Olympics, I will be sharing a couple of fun activities we are doing in our house this week!

Today, we’re going to try to make our own Olympic torch. It would be fun to do a relay with these! 🙂

Supplies:

1 sheet of construction paper, any color

tape

tin foil

red, yellow, and orange tissue paper or construction paper

glue

Procedure:

1. Roll the construction paper into a cone shape. Tape closed.

2. Cover the outside of the cone with tin foil.

3. Glue the tissue paper inside the cone with glue.

4. Let dry before playing with it!
