Stained Glass Hearts

I wrote this post last year for Blissfully Domestic. I share one of my favorite Valentine books and a fun art activity. My pictures are gone though so I posted those here. Visit me there to see instructions!

  1. I have never had any luck with ironing the crayon shavings. When I cut the waxed paper containing the melted crayon shavings, the shavings seem to break, split and fall out everywhere. I think I need to try this again as I really like the look of the Valentine stained glass heart.

  2. Elise,

One hint I can give is to cut the waxed paper beforehand so that it is small enough. Then you’re not cutting the melted crayons.

You could also glue the edges of the waxed paper afterwards.

Let us know if you have any luck this time!!!

    Angee 🙂

  3. I love how it turned out! I want to make one of those but my little guy is too young yet.
