Transportation Field Trip

Take a field trip this week! Visit a friend who owns a semi-truck. Take a tour of the fire station or police station and explore their vehicles. Drive some go-carts or watch car racing. Watch a monster truck rally. Visit a local train show. Take a ride on a train or subway. And watch the light in your children’s eyes as they experience something fun!

What field trips have you done that teach about transportation?

  1. Your son looks so happy!!! How fun! My son has been to our local railroad when Thomas came and also to ride the Polar Express at Christmas time. I want to take him on one of the afternoon picnic trips they offer too sometime this summer. πŸ™‚

  2. Your transporation theme sounds like so much fun. My children get quite excited when they see a train and we have been saying that we should take them on a train and to the rail museum for children.

What a great tradition to make candy trains. I imagine that everyone must look forward to this. How fun to come up with different creations for this every year.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandma.

  3. Amy, We’ve done both the Polar Express and Day Out with Thomas. I forgot about both of those. Thanx for the reminder!

  4. Elise, Thank you for your kind words! And the rail museum sounds fun! Let us know if you go! πŸ™‚
