Pumpkin Fingerpainting

1. Place a big ol’ dob of red fingerpaint and a big ol’ dob of yellow fingerpaint on a piece of paper. Have your children mix the colors with their fingers to see what color they get!

2. Have them cover the whole paper with the paint.

3. Allow to dry.

4. When dry, draw a pumpkin shape on the paper. Help your child cut it out.

5. Display in your front window for a homemade Halloween decoration!

(Don’t mind the shadows in my pictures. We did these early morning, and when working with children and paint, you gotta be quick!)

  1. We did this, except we ended up just painting pumpkins and then using a little green for the stems. It looked great. Thanks for the open ended ideas, that we can change if we like. They are so wonderful. You are helping so many people!
