Name Game: Plate Sail

This is a hit with kids for some reason, and oh! so simple, which I love!

Write your children’s names on a paper plate. Have them stand in a circle. Toss a plate into the middle of the circle while singing this song:

(Sung to If You’re Happy and You Know It)

If your name is on the plate, pick it up.

If your name is on the plate, pick it up.

If your name is on the plate, then you’re really doing great.

If your name is on the plate, pick it up.

The child’s name that is on the plate, picks up the plate. Repeat with each child. It’s also fun to throw a couple (or all) in the center and allow each child to find theirs.
