Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men

Couldn’t put Humpty together again!

1. There are a lot of things you could do with this nursery rhyme. If you act it out, it would be fun to make a large oval egg with a space for your child’s face. Repeat the rhyme over and over as they act it out.

2. Make a large egg out of paper and decorate it to look like Humpty Dumpty. Cut it into pieces (I did enough for each kid in my class). Hide the pieces and have your children hunt for them. Provide band-aids and let them put him together again with the band-aids. (My students LOVED this!)

3. Do a smaller version of the activity above. Provide a small oval and let your child decorate it to look like Humpty Dumpty. Cut it up (I did this part so there weren’t too many pieces to put back together again). Let your child put Humpty together again!
