Mother’s Day Idea: Framed Art

This week, I will be sharing a bunch of different ideas your children could make for Mother’s Day. They are simple and don’t take a lot of time, but come from the heart-–the kind moms love!

Have your child decorate a picture frame!! You can buy blank wooden ones for a couple of dollars at the craft store. Then have your children paint them with craft paint (be sure to take the glass out before painting, and I actually remove the backing, too). In addition, either put a picture of your child and the mom/grandma, or have them draw a picture of the same. So cute! And as always, be sure to write your child’s name and the date on the back.

Here’s an idea that I did with my preschoolers, but don’t have a picture of. I white-washed the frames first (painted a very light white coat). Then, the kids splatter painted all over them (good to do outside). They looked like confetti! They then drew a picture of them and their mom to put inside. They looked adorable, and the moms absolutely loved them!
