Karo Syrup Shamrocks

Supplies:

Karo syrup (this stuff is clear)

Food coloring (green or blue and yellow)

Shamrock blackline

Paint shirt

Activity:

1.  Pour a little bit of Karo syrup on the paper.

2.  Put a few drops of food coloring on the Karo syrup. If you want to teach your children about color mixing, put a couple of drops of blue and a couple of drops of yellow and let them mix.

3.  Let your children paint the shamrock with their fingers. The best part is letting them LICK as they paint.

4.  Allow to dry overnight before hanging up (depending on how thick they painted, sometimes more time is needed).

  1. Awesome! We are definitely going to do some of these tomorrow! It’s funny b/c I spent part of this morning looking for fun activities like this for St Patrick’s Day! I’m glad you got this up today! Yeah!!
