Stories for Snuggling: Dr. Seuss Day!

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, and what a fun day it is for teachers!!! We always spent the day honoring one of the greatest authors of all time by doing various, fun activities with our students. He is one author they all know.

I will not be posting a specific book today, as all of his books are wonderful. Instead, I will be posting a couple of activities I did with my own children in honor of the day.

We had a yummy lunch of green eggs and ham. I simply put a bit of food coloring in with the scrambled eggs and add ham. It looks yucky, but is actually very good!

We also made some simple “Cat in the Hat” hats, made with cardstock and colored by my children.

Very simple but fun activities to supplement the reading. There are so many things you can do! You just have to be creative!

What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
