March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ Birthday, and what a fun day it is for teachers!!! We always spent the day honoring a great author by doing various, fun activities with our students. He is one author they all know.
Here are a couple of fun activities that we do here at home:
We’ll haveĀ green eggs and ham for breakfast. I simply put a bit of food coloring in with the scrambled eggs and add ham. It looks yucky, but is actually very good!

My kids also enjoy makingĀ simple “Cat in the Hat” hats made with cardstock.

Very simple but fun activities to supplement the reading. There are so many other great ideas!
What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Any fun Dr. Seuss links you’ve come across?

My favorite Dr. Seuss book is If I Ran the Zoo and my kids really like Wacky Wednesday. If you are interested my blog, Happy Birthday Author, has a linky to share ideas to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Please stop by and share your ideas.
