GAK - Elmer's Glue Borax Recipe - Step 5

My son brought this stuff home from a friend’s house this fall. It lasted for months, and all the neighbors thought he was the coolest kid on the block! She got the recipe here, but I typed it out for you in a simpler words. This stuff is so cool!

Ingredients:

2 cups Elmer’s glue

1 1/2 cups warm water

1 1/2 Tablespoons Borax (found in the laundry section)

1 cup hot water

food coloring

Procedure:

1. In a medium bowl, mix the glue and 1 1/2 cups warm water until combined.

2. Add food coloring until desired color is reached.

3. In a small bowl, mix Borax and 1 cup hot water.

4. Pour the Borax solution into the glue solution and mix well. Once the mixture starts to pull together, you can mix it with your hands. Pour off any excess liquid. If it’s too sticky, add more Borax.

5. Store in a Ziplock.
